26) Virtually Producing Content for the NFL Draft
With a 2021 NFL draft finally arriving it is one of the most anticipated time was in college football each year. Following up one year of a full global pandemic the production industry has adapted to the many changes and challenges that COVID-19 has forced upon us. This year, I'm happy to be included with a team that is producing content remotely for the NFL draft in conjunction with a crew that is filming content live from Cleveland. Thanks to some very fancy new technology, we are able to receive video feeds anywhere in the world end edit from the safety of our office here in Dallas using footage that was captured in Cleveland just seconds before. This technology is called camera to cloud and has really advanced in the last year following Covid. We have ran several trials on it and aren't really looking forward two to capabilities that camera to cloud can offer us. My role is a network engineer and camera to cloud operator so I will be under the most pressure should anything go wrong. Additionally, there are a team of editors and a team of cinematographers on the ground capturing content. Here's to a good week!
