3) What Am I Doing?

I love SMU, and I love everyone around here, but I also love my work and professional aspirations, and I get really discouraged a lot of days.

On days like today, where I am asked to do jobs that would require me to miss months of school, but would have a large paycheck as well as work with high profile directors and other great crews for national spots.

After receiving messages like this I feel really down, and like Iā€™m wasting my time, but then it takes me a moment to remember that my degree I am earning right now will be forever valuable, and having a degree in advertising from SMU will allow me to become the bosses on these commercials, not just the VTR and Data guy.

The biggest thing for me is wanting to maintain the connections I have right now, and if I can keep those steady until I graduate, whenever that ends up being, I could be in a good spot.
